Tracey Murray
My name is Tracey Murray and I have been working in the Health Industry for the last 25 years. My work as an Osteopathic Clinician focuses on bringing patients bodies back to a place of health, vitality and optimum function which in turn enriches their day to day life. I joined the Southside Osteopaths, (Blackrock) team in September 2021.
I started my career in Sports and Remedial Massage in 1996 and worked for 10 years treating musculoskeletal injuries in clinic and in sports environments. I continued and completed further studies at University in Bachelor of Applied Science ( Exercise and Sports Science 1999) and Bachelor of Applied Science in Osteopathy (2004) and a Masters in Osteopathy in Australia (2006).
Most of my career I have been in private practice dealing with patients with spinal, muscular and neuromuscular conditions. My understanding of how the body works and the application of Osteopathic principles to injury and illness has seen me treating patients of different age groups ie young infants and children, to elite athletes, to womens health, to elderly. When applicable I also incorporate exercise rehabilitation into my clinical practice.
I have also incorporated into my clinical practice and learning, University teaching/lecturing in subjects ranging from Anatomy and Physiology, Exercise Testing and Prescription and Rehabilitation Science. All of which has enriched my knowledge and understanding of the body and added to my clinical experience.
