Brian O’Shea

Brian graduated from the University College of Osteopathy (formerly British School of Osteopathy) with a Masters of Osteopathy in 2012. Since graduating, Brian has been helping people to overcome a wide range of musculoskeletal issues and to optimise their physical health.
Treating clients of all ages, from older children to those in their retirement years, from super active sports athletes to the less active clients just wanting to be out of pain and maintain mobility. He incorporates physical treatment, advice and exercises to enable clients to make a full recovery.
While clients typically present with back, neck, shoulder and hip issues, Brian also successfully treats a wide range of injuries and discomforts throughout the whole body.
Brian is a sports enthusiast and a keen golfer these days. Injuries encountered growing up playing hurling in Kilkenny inspired Brian to become an osteopath. He has many years experience working with his local Dunamaggin GAA club.
Treatment approach
As a firm believer in the body’s ability to heal itself, Brian uses a range of osteopathic and manual techniques to help create balance within the body. Having a background as a qualified mechanical engineer, Brian understands the physical strains on the body created by imbalances.
Brians treatment approach is to optimise the natural compensation mechanisms within the body, removing barriers to recovery thus allowing the body to function optimally.
Brian is committed to helping clients understand what they can do to assist in their recovery and prevent reoccurrence. He encourages activity in people of all ages and will often prescribe simple exercises to keep your body moving well.
